About the company

Lisa started the company right after finishing college and is now celebrating 26th year of

being in business. There have been a few product changes over the years but mainly the products that are created are designed after Lisa's art. In 1990 Lisa created animal mailboxes that were a large part of her business. They were even featured in the Whitney museum of American art in New York and a feature article in the New York Times later followed.

The card line started in 1986 and has continued to grow. Many of the first designs are still sold and are still popular. There are now over 200 different cards to choose from.

As the years went on new products and new items were added and taken away as the markets changed.

The thing that is great about Lisa's art is that it is able to be put on so many different products and the images work. Children's books and the illustration market are areas Lisa would like to pursue more.

New ideas, products, and licenses are very much welcomed.

About Lisa

Lisa has been drawing from a very young age. Her Mother, a former University of Washington art student use to give her paint by number sets and other drawing tools to play with. Lisa was the second oldest of seven children. Of her many chores the one she did the most milking and feeding the cows. Many of the animals in her paintings were of ones that she actually had growing up. The farm they had was a true family farm. She has 5 sisters and one brother whom all helped on the farm. Milking cows was the one task Lisa got good at.

She attended the State and County fairs with her animals showing them in 4-H and FFA.

Now she gets to show her animals still at fairs and festivals but they are now on paper.

Althought her talents as an artist were there, Lisa decided to go to WSU for a food science degree. College is where Lisa discovered her characters and painted for fun and for her friends. One of her pieces was sent home and put into a charity auction where it then became part of the Washington State capital decor which later helped her Mother with her connections to get into politics where she now has a seat on the floor of the State Senate. She has had been in politics almost as long as Lisa has been in business.

While in college she showed her work at a number of arts and crafts festivals during the summer and later after working a year in her food science career she finally decided to make a full time career out of it . Lisa continues doing local arts and crafts fairs and creating and coming up with new products and characters to add to her line.

Her three children help her out when they can with new ideas and suggestions.

We hope you enjoy her artwork and welcome any suggestions or new ideas.

Thanks for your support.

comparing it to a mailbox designed by Michael Graves.
